Noesis is an independent communication agency that provides strategic advice and integrated communication services. Founded in Milan in 1991, Noesis is today one of the leading public relations’ and communication agencies in Italy, with over 50 professionals operating mainly from the Milan office, and also from the Rome office.

The Agency has a strong experience in the Consumer, Corporate, Finance, Healthcare and Technology sectors, with dedicated divisions, transversally supported by teams specialized in Digital PR and Events. Affiliated to several international networks, Noesis can support its clients also at European level thanks to synergies with sister agencies that  are activated in a flexible way both on the basis of country or sector specific expertise.

The agency is today part of Noesis Group, which also includes TwentyTwenty, the digital hub of the Group, and, Aretrè, an agency specialized in pharmaceutical marketing.

Martin Slater


He founded Noesis in 1991, acquired Aretré in 2006 and created TwentyTwenty in 2009, forming one of the leading integrated communication groups present in Italy today. For over 25 years, he advised important multinational realities on communication strategies and public affairs with typically British understatement. Even if he does not like to admit it, he is one of the most respected and authoritative advisors in the PR sector in Italy and not only. In his previous life, he was a UK Treasury official, a lecturer at Harvard and Clark Universities in the US, Essex University in the UK and Turin in Italy. He has also authored books and articles in the field of European policies and social behavior. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the MIT in Cambridge. Contemporary art collector, he enjoyed a personal friendship one with Francis Bacon, though sadly he could never afford to buy one of his works.

Antonella Romano


A graduate in Political Science, she joined Noesis in 1997, where she founded the Healthcare division. In 2004 added additional responsibilities for the Corporate and Finance divisions, creating and implementing communication campaigns and overseeing press office activities. Since 2010, she has been Managing Director of the agency and her activity has focused on strategic consulting and crisis communication management in dealing corporate restructuring, media attacks, adverse events. She is part of the Italian journalists’ association since 2003. Mom manager with no guilt, she is passionate about contemporary theater and tech addicted, but only for online shopping!

Cristina Barelli

Technology, BTB

With a degree in philosophy and a real passion for technology, gadgets and food, Cristina has over 20 years experience in media relations, public relations and organization of events for IT customers. Today she directs a rapidly expanding team, where digital and analog natives share their skills to communicate even the most cryptic technologies to the widest target possible, from high tech nerds to analog grandfathers.

Elena Cerutti

Corporate, Issue&Crisis Management

She has a degree in Public Relations from the IULM University of Milan, and a past in the skies as a press officer of the airline Volare. In Noesis since 2005, she specializes in crisis management, both in terms of risk assessment, preparation and active management when crisis is on air. Between one crisis and another, she takes care of corporate communications for companies and institutions, both Italian and international. She has gained experience also in public affairs at Italian and European level. A very caring mother of two children, she can do without many things except for rock music and her Ducati motorbike.

Sara Cugini

Food, Lifestyle

With a degree in Political Science from the Catholic University of Milan, and a post-graduate master's degree in communication in her pocket, she had her first work experience in the press office of De Agostini publishing house. She joined Noesis at a very young age in 2000, working with clients from the most diverse industries, from healthcare to consumer and tech, for whom she was responsible for corporate communication, product press office, communication plans and media trainings. Today she is the reference point for the organization of corporate events and conventions, activities that she likes a lot even if by reaction, at home, she turns into a real freestyler.

Melissa Lovisetto

Finance, Corporate

She joined the world of communication almost “by chance”. After a degree in Public Relations at the IULM in Milan, she started working at DHL International and later at Alitalia. The opportunity to move into the world of PR came in 2005 in the financial division of one of Italy's leading agencies. Despite a humanistic background, she continued to develop a passion for corporate and financial communication in later work experiences for over 15 years. At Noesis since 2022, she is responsible for the financial team dealing with Italian and international clients. Married to Paolo and mother of two girls, a rabbit and a dog, she firmly believes that .... 'A day without laughter is a day wasted'.

Samanta Iannoni


She joined Noesis in year 2000 after several experiences as author of radio programs on health and current issues and a degree in Italian Literature. She has been Head of the Healthcare Division since 2003 and today directs a close-knit team committed to offering strategic consultancy and implementing public relations and press office activities for pharmaceutical multinationals, scientific societies, hospitals, patient associations and foundations. Beyond advising on communication strategy and positioning towards stakeholders, she gained extensive experience in crisis communication and institutional relations, both at national and local level. Wannabe sportswoman, she’s not practicing it: between a Pilates session and the other, she cultivates a love for art and literature.

Alessia Rebaudo

Consumer, Lifestyle

A humanist by creed and training, she believes in the power of words and can pronounce up to a thousand of them per second. She gained over 15 years’ experience in the consumer area, working at various international public relations agencies before joining Noesis in 2007. Today she coordinates the activities of media relations, Digital PR and integrated communication campaigns for customers in the luxury and lifestyle sectors alongside mainstream consumer brands. Tenacious and open to new challenges, she is supported by a team of multitasking professionals who move with agility between print, web and social media. Always travelling, with a suitcase or imagination, since 2013 she also coordinates international media relations activities with the leading foreign media.

Holtjona Leka

Corporate, Travel, Logistics

She left her native Albania to study in Budapest where she graduated in Literature. She has been in Italy since 2000 and joined Noesis in 2001. Her first encounter with the communication profession was handling clients from the food & beverage sector - she then specialized in the transport and tourism industries. Backed by a solid experience built in almost twenty years of PR work, she coordinates today a multidisciplinary team on corporate communication campaigns. She dreams of a world in which being different is considered a value that enriches both the society and the business. During the war in Kosovo, she volunteered in refugee camps and in 1991 represented Albania at the World Aerobics Championships in Moscow.

Laura Mazza

Hospitality & Tourism

She began collaborating with Noesis in year 2000, soon becoming the agency’s winning card for handling media relationships. In Noesis she worked on institutional campaigns at European and national level, for Tourist Boards and leading hotel chains. Prior to joining Noesis, she earned experience as a journalist, working in the editorial offices of Italy’s most prestigious publishing houses. She has also gained a significant experience in media relations in the culture and entertainment sector working on projects of Assolombarda Communication division, Lombardy Region, Province of Milan, Fiera Milano, Venice Film Festival and the Merano TV and Locarno Festivals. Among her big loves: Inter FC, her two adopted beagles and, of course, her son Riccardo.

Roberto Russo


He has been collaborating with the Noesis Healthcare division since 2009. Based in Rome, he deals with concept, management and supervision of communication plans, event organization and awareness campaigns. He has over twenty years of experience in the Health sector behind him. After taking his first steps “on the field” holding various positions as Scientific Informer and Key Account of leading pharmaceutical companies, he had the opportunity to participate in the development of one of the most important pharmaceutical press offices, dealing with external regional communication. Biologist with a passion for scientific communication, he has experience in most of the therapeutic areas and has gained over time a deep knowledge of the Pharma market at national and local level. He does not like routine, he loves creative people and cultivates multiple interests at the same time.

Stefania Episcopo

Art Direction

In Noesis since 1997 with the role of Art Director, Stefania coordinates and supervises advertising campaigns for consumer and corporate customers, managing all the stages of a project from creativity to implementation. Trained in the “old school” of graphic design made of cutter, Cow and lots of creativity, she is at her ease with both traditional and digital media, of which she has followed birth and evolution. With the craftsman’s skilled hand and an eye on the latest novelties, Stefania is able to meet the customers’ needs from the most diverse sectors. In over 30 years, she has gained a solid experience in brand campaigns, corporate identity and the development of below the line and web design promotional materials. She has many talents that she jealously keeps secret, except for revealing herself as a prodigious dancing queen at her colleagues’ weddings and agency kick-offs.

Elena Toso


Numbers have been her bread & butter since, after graduating in accounting, she began a long apprenticeship spent in tax consultancies and a leading company in medical products for dentistry. She approached the world of communication agencies in 2001, joining Fleishman-Hillard Italy (now Omnicom Group) as Senior Finance Manager. In Noesis since 2008, she is responsible for the accounting and administrative management of Noesis group in the role of administrative manager supported by a team of two people. Far from being only a numbers & figures’ woman, she’s a real free spirit who even walked Inca ancient paths in Peru.

Natasha Slater


After having successfully built her career in the fashion world, in 2017 Natasha founded her own agency, NS Studio, which completes the offer of Noesis group services. Her main activities focus on the fashion industry and include press relations, social media activities and event organization. In addition to being an established fashion PR, Natasha is also a well-known influencer with over 80,000 followers on Instagram. In 2019, she opened a branch of her agency in London.
